TV: Why You Should Watch Running Man

And no, I’m not talking about the Arnold Schwarzenegger film, or the newest internet craze of the same name.

I’m talking about the wonderfully insightful, dramatic and hysterical variety show that first graced South Korean television in 2010 to an ever growing global audience.

It is currently one of the longest running television shows in South Korean history, currently running at six years. Running Man has amassed a huge following in Asia, as well as across the globe and is often fan subbed in a range of languages.

TV: Descendants of the Sun | Final Review

Descendants of the Sun is a 2016 South Korean television series starring Song Joong-ki as the ever charming and handsome Captain Yoo Si-Jin, Jin Goo as the reserved and humorous Sergeant Major Seo Dae-young, Song Hye-kyo as the affable Dr. Kang Mo-yeon, and Kim Ji-won as the cool and loveable Army Doc Yoon Myeong-joo.

The series ran for a total of 19 episodes, the last three being behind the scenes moments, interviews with the cast, and favourite scenes from the series. The drama has been receiving rage reviews, primarily for it’s excellent cast, the chemistry and well written relationships between the characters, and not to mention the gorgeous exotic location in which it was filmed.

Film | The Jungle Book

The Jungle Book is an old classic and not to mention a favourite for many.Which is why when I heard they were creating a live adaptation I was quite dubious, needless to say and after watching the trailer I was dreading the film even more!

The voice-overs looked totally out of sync and a bit weird to me, however, I was relieved to see that the film itself had no issues with the sound and everything seemed perfectly in sync.

TV: Sassy Go Go | Final Thoughts

Sassy Go Go, or Cheer Up!, is a South Korean Drama that premièred from October to November for a total of twelve episodes, starring Jung Eunji as Kang Yeon Doo, Lee Won Keun as Kim Yeol, Ji Soo as Ha Seo Ha Joon, Cha Hakyeon as Ha Dong-Jae and Cha Soo-Bin as Kwon Soo.

The drama primarily focuses on friendship and teen romance, and the way these young students deal with the pressures of life and friendship under demanding situations, namely the education system in Korea and the high expectations of their parents.

TV: She Was Pretty | Final Thoughts

She Was Pretty” is a Rom-Com Korean Drama that ran for sixteen episodes, the drama starred actors Hwang Jung-eum, (Kim Hye Jin), Park Seo-joon (Ji Sung Joon), Go Joon-hee (Min Ha Ri), and Choi Siwon (Kim Shin Hyuk).

The drama focuses on the relationships between men and women, and more importantly, the connection and friendship between best friends.

Kim Hye Jin is living with her best friend, Min Ha Ri, a heiress. Hye-Jin, is a floundering young woman searching for a job, she is seen as rosy cheeked and bushy haired, with a questionable fashion sense.
